Today the City of Boise issued its Guidelines for users of Idaho Ice World. Notably, the City will require anyone inside the facility to wear a mask – THIS INCLUDES ALL PLAYERS. Here is a portion of the email sent to us:
After extensive review and consultation with local and state health officials, City of Boise and Parks and Recreation Department leaders have made the decision to allow ice rentals at Idaho IceWorld to begin on Friday, July 10. Meanwhile, all lessons, classes, tournaments and programming outside of ice rentals remain on hold due to Ada County’s move back to Stage 3 of the Idaho Rebounds plan. Please keep in mind that Idaho IceWorld has implemented new health and safety protocols throughout the facility due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) and its continued spread in our community. In addition, due to the new public health order that took effect in the City of Boise on Saturday, July 4 requiring the use of facial coverings, all Idaho IceWorld users will be required to wear a mask that covers their nose and mouth when inside the facility. This includes anyone playing hockey or skating on the ice.

While we understand not everyone will necessarily agree with the City’s Guidelines, it is important that we follow them, to the best of our ability. We want to be able to get the kids’ skating. By signing up for Jr. Steelheads ice times, you are agreeing to abide by the Guidelines.
